A masterclass on jazz vocals. In this workshop Victoria will focus on the fundamentals of jazz singing, covering tone, phrasing, interpretation, and practical tips for vocal improvisation.
Joined by Guy Shotton on the piano, Victoria will be giving live demonstrations and coach any willing volunteers.
Victoria Klewin is a vocalist, songwriter, and educator with many years of recording and performing experience in a variety of genres. She is now best known as a jazz vocalist and has toured internationally both with her own originals project and with Hannah Williams (who is headlining this year’s festival). She is known for her emotive interpretation, extended vocal range, finely crafted tone, and rhythmic phrasing.
