Maceo Parker is a man who needs little introduction. As the lynchpin of James Brown’s legendary JB’s, he produced some of the most enduring entries in the vast canon of American soul music and sowed the seeds of the funk revolution of the 1970s.

Over the years he has collaborated with Prince, Ray Charles, Ani Difranco, James Taylor, De La Soul, Dave Matthews Band and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. He is one of the early pioneers of modern funk and hip-hop whose sounds we still jump to today.
