The internationally-acclaimed jazz clarinettist Adrian Cox, at age 38, is certainly at the top of his game. He was nominated for Jazz Clarinettist of the Year (British Jazz Awards 2019) and his last album Profoundly Blue was nominated for Jazz Album of the Year (UK Parliamentary Jazz Awards 2019). With his band, Adrian has been touring the globe performing music from his project Profoundly Blue with sell-out concerts at Ronnie Scott’s (London) and Dizzy’s Club (New York).
In 2020 with the lockdown in place and touring put on hold for a while, Adrian decided to perform a weekly solo live stream concert known as the Sunday Service. Each week he has been highlighting various jazz musicians and curating a programme around their work. The Sunday Service has attracted audiences from all around the world and is also nominated for the “Lockdown Innovation Award” (Parliamentary Jazz Awards 2021)
For this Bristol International Jazz & Blues Festival performance, the Sunday Service is live for you all to enjoy as Adrian performs a set of music taken from the past 15 months of live streamed concerts!
