After months of planning, we’re ready to unveil the line-up for next year’s festival. We’d love for you to join us at Colston Hall on Wednesday, November 19 from 18:00 when we will reveal all. We’ve got some VERY special guests coming from New Orleans in 2015 and so much more to tell you, but until November 19…our lips are sealed!
To celebrate our launch we’ll have some great free music in the foyer courtesy of Chirimoya and Emily Wright & the Royals. We also have a very special gig taking place in the Lantern at 20:30. When Frank Met Ella is a unique tribute to two of the greatest vocalists who ever lived…
As two of the most popular vocalists of all time, Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra provided the definitive versions of the golden era of pop and jazz songs. For this premiere concert, Bristol Jazz & Blues Festival artistic director, Denny Ilett, dons the tuxedo to deliver some of Sinatra’s greatest moments whilst star of TV show The Voice, Celestine Walcott-Gordon, steps into Ella’s shoes for an evening of swinging standards from the Great American Songbook.
Backed by the Bruce/Ilett Octet playing brand new arrangements of classic songs. When Ella met Frank is a show not to be missed.
Tickets are a bargain at £12 (plus booking fee) so get yours now HERE!
