Tongue Fu featuring Dizraeli + Guests

This autumn we bring you Tongue Fu the UK’s leading spoken word and music show. Writer, musician and founder, Chris Redmond, invites extraordinary poets, storytellers and rappers to take risks, re-working material live with improvised soundtracks from a crack team of quick witted, genre-hopping musicians. This special show will include performances from;

Dizraeli – award winning rapper who has toured with Saul Williams and Eliza Carthy
Anna Freeman – stand up poet, novelist and host of Bristol Old Vic’s Blah Blah Blah
Malaika Kegode – poet and promoter who has worked with Apples and Snakes, Roundhouse and the BBC. She runs Milk Poetry, an event named “One of the best spoken word events in the UK” by Picador.
Vanessa Kisuule – writer, performer, burlesque artist and general empress of blag based in Bristol
Riaan Vosloo – bass player and arranger for Nostalgia 77 and Jamie Cullum
Dan Moore – keyboards who has worked with Roni Size and Fred Wesley

No two shows are the same and this irreverent blend of well crafted words, improv and music have earned them critical acclaim at music, poetry and literature festivals across the UK and around the world. Tongue Fu is a high energy, big hearted show. Part gig, part experiment, all fire.
