Fusing jazz, funk and hip-hop, The Herbaliser offers heavy grooves inspired by American jazz and funk by the likes of Roy Ayers, James Brown and Ramsey Lewis alongside early east coast hip-hop, through the Jungle Brothers, Afrika Bambaata and Grandmaster Flash.

Featuring Jake Wherry, former bassist in acid jazz group, the Propheteers alongside South London, UK DJ, Ollie Teeba, the pair create modern breakbeat and trip-hop that is instilled with early instrumental hip-hop tradition as well jazz and funk grooves, making them stand out from the crowd in the modern beat scene

Legendary MC, radio and TV personality Rodney P aka The Riddim Killa is one of the pioneers of the UK hip-hop scene gaining prominence in the 1980’s as part of the London Posse. With a long list of collaborations featuring a diverse range of artists such as Roots Manuva, Omar, Brand New Heavies, The Stanton Warriors, Jeff Beck and Bjork and a new album in 2019 on Tru Thoughts Records, Rodney P, as MTV stated, is truly “a legendary figure within the UK hip-hop scene who helped lay the foundations of urban music in this country.”
